Conditions

True Companions VetVan has years of experience providing Cottage Grove pet owners with mobile veterinary services. In addition to annual wellness exams and vaccinations, we also provide diagnostic testing for and treatment of many conditions and maladies. Our veterinarian will examine your pet to identify and address any health issues your pet is suffering from.

Arthritis and Joint Issues

Just like in people, arthritis in dogs is painful. As your dog ages, it becomes prone to arthritis, which is a joint disease that can lead to debilitating pain in the hips, legs, back, and other joints in your dog’s body. When the tissues surrounding the joints become inflamed, your pet can suffer tremendous pain. We apply veterinarian treatment, including the use of acupuncture to address your pet’s arthritis pain.

Diabetes

Diabetes is most common in older pets, but it can affect animals of any age. This metabolic disease relates to the production of insulin in your pet’s body and to the way food is broken down into energy. If your pet is exhibiting excessive thirst, excessive urination, hunger, or weight loss, it could be a sign of diabetes. Our veterinarian will assess your pet to determine whether or not your pet has diabetes.

Cancer

We offer pain management and gentle hospice care if your pet is diagnosed with a form of terminal cancer. We know that an incurable diagnosis can be heartbreaking for pet owners and painful for your pet. We can work with you to make the process as easy as possible.

Signs of Potential Health Problems

Excessive vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, loss of appetite, mucus in the eyes or nose, frequent urination, and erratic behavior can be signs of a health issue. If you notice any of these, veterinarian consultation should be sought.

Veterinarian in Cottage Grove

We realize that not all pets enjoy a trip to the veterinarian’s office, especially when they’re not feeling well. The experience can be unsettling and provoke anxiety for some pets. Some pet owners prefer to avoid the vet’s office for fear of contracting a virus from another animal. This is why we offer mobile pet treatment services. We bring our professional services to our patients to bring peace of mind for both pets and pet owners.
